Record breaking number of students

The largest number of students in 25 years has just started at Grenaa Gymnasium. Head of school, Ole Fjord, is delighted with the positive development: "It is always nicen when youngsters decide to get an education", he says.

Both HF, STX and IB have had a larger number of students than last year. This year we have three HF classes instead of two. IB can also boast about a greater number of students which means that more student than ever before can get their favourite subjects. Boarding school students are on a waiting list.

Alternative steps have been taken to prevent the students from dropping out when they feel the pressure of homework and high expectations: ”The young people in Djursland have to learn how to learn," says Ole Fjord, "Not all young people have parents who have attended high school themselves, but that should not keep anyone from getting the education they want."
